1. Proper Noun -  The Noun by which the name of a particular person, place or thing is known, it is called Proper Noun.

Examples : - 

Ram, Shyam, Sita, Gita, Patna, Ramayana, Sunday, Monday, January, February e.t.c 

2. Common Noun -  The Noun which belongs to the caste is called Common Noun.

Examples : -  

Cow, Book, Pen, Boy, Girl, Bird, Snake, Table, Town, Country e.t.c

3. Collective Noun -  The Noun which refers to a group of persons, objects or animals is called Collective Noun.

Examples : - 

Class, Crowd, Team, Family, Bunch, Committee e.t.c 

4. Material Noun -  The Noun which can be measured or weighed but cannot be counted is called Material Noun.

Examples : - 

Oil, Milk, Wood, Gold, Iron, Stone, Rice, Ink, Sugar, Pulse e.t.c 

5. Abstract Noun -  The Noun by which the condition, quality or action is understood, it is called Abstract Noun. 

Examples : - 

goodness, kindness, greatness, richness, honesty, wisdom, beauty, truth, laughter, love, death, childhood e.t.c
